Who would you vote if there was a general election tomorrow?

June 25, 2010 - 8:51 pm 16 Comments

I’ve never voted Tory before and voted Lib Dem the last 2 elections and Labour in 1997 (how could I have, lol) but I think I would probably vote for the Tories. I have grown to hate Labour so much. I remember my late grandfather saying Labour were incompetent, nasty people and thinking "All right granddad". Now I know what he meant.

Conservative. Not particularly to get them into office, but to get New Liabour out.

When Obama leaves office, will we most likely have Republican President?

June 22, 2010 - 3:21 pm 4 Comments

Conservatism has grown and lowered in the past 2 years. But I am starting to realized that out of 100% of the people I know that like him are down to about a 30%

Will any of Obama’s (stupid) decisions affect how people vote in November ’12

You know it! Thank God!

What gives the democrats the right to ignore the vote in South Carolina?

June 19, 2010 - 9:22 am 6 Comments

I think the talk about the democratic party putting aside the vote and putting their choice in the race is unamerican. Regardless of how it happened it happened and He won. Is this a warning of how they will try and keep power after the november elections when they lose? Watch out America when any party can over rule and election and pick their winner we are in trouble.

Their challenge may be a trial run to nullify their massive defeats in november. Allowing them to pick who they want and ignore the vote moves us dangerously close to socialism tactics. This time the party failed to screen out a challenger so they want to ignore the vote of the people.

Did you vote for Obama in the previous election and why or why not?

June 8, 2010 - 11:40 am 9 Comments

Best answer goes to the most educated response, not based on who you voted for. Please, no answers claiming to have known how he’d handle any political matters, for if you truly are a psychic, you’d be out spending your lotto winnings instead of playing on this site.

Yes, I voted for Obama. I was really considering John McCain. He had war experience and years in the Senate. He was obviously the more experienced of the two candidates. Then he chose Sarah Palin, former mayor of a small Alaskan town, less than two years in office as governor. She obviously was not the experienced person I would want in the Oval Office if John McCain couldn’t finish his term. McCain would have been the oldest person ever elected President. He’d had several bouts with cancer. IMO, this was an awful choice. I just couldn’t support that ticket. On the other hand, Obama picked a popular, experienced politician as his VP. Biden may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he knows what buttons will need to be pushed if he’s called on to finish Obama’s term. I’m satisfied with Obama’s presidential performance so far. I do feel that he’s wasted a lot of time on "bipartisanship." Republicans made it very clear from the get go that they’re not going to help fix this country’s problems. He should just ignore them and get on with his agenda as best he can, considering the condition Bush left this country in.
