ACORN, which stands for: Association of Community Organizations, has been accused of voter registration fraud all across this country. This group can be said to be engaged in corrupt shake-downs. However they get a pass on this from the news media and the government. Had an Italian engaged in these same practices, they would be charged under the RICO Act, (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization Act), and called the Mafia or Cosa Nostra.

Where this organization has engaged in voter registrations same people registered multiple times. The line up of the Texas football team, the Dallas Cowboys were registered to vote in Las Vegas, Nevada. One town had more people registered to vote than had voting age people in the population.

It has been reported that Senator Barack Obama while a community organizer worked for this organization. Basically if Senator Obama wins this election by a razor thin majority it could be said the election was won by Democratic Party voter fraud perpetrated by ACORN on their behalf. The only way to have a clean election to erase any appearance of voter fraud, the next president needs to win by a large majority.

I’ve lost my card and am wondering if I need to have another card in order to physically vote. Could I just show them my ID? Where would I have to go to get another card made? I live in the state of Maryland if this helps any.

Check the Board of Elections website for your state. Many polling places have lists for the registered voters, so you may still be able to vote. Just make sure you show up at the correct location for your district, as you will not be able to vote at another location.

I see that a lot of people say that they have a card, but when I registered to vote I didn’t get a card. Do I need to do something about it.

The card gets mailed to you… thats how they verify your address.

I moved to another state a while back and registered to vote about ten days before the election.

Im in the system, I just checked my counties website, but I did not receive a registration card

If you have a current photo ID with the same address on it, yes you can, they will just look you up on the records.

I want to know, because now I’m at college in Boston, and when elections come, I’ll still be up here. So can I vote for my democratic hero,Obama, while I’m up here?

Ballot bigots are never nice! You have to vote in Boston, using your campus address, but you have plenty of time. Change your registration on line. Massachusetts will notify NY that you can no longer vote there. When you move back (permanently) change it back. If you never want a Boston voting history (which I completely understand as a fellow NY er) come down, vote, and go right back. Take the Chinatown bus, it’s like 20 bucks. And it’s worth it, to get this fascist, debt ridden, war monger, oil greedy government out of here!

The manual voter registration exercise has come to a close. The exercise, which had been extended by four days, is projected to have netted close to 12 million voters. But as Brenda Mulinya reports, the electronic registration will go on for two more weeks.

Or, is it just a fictitious registration? Most states require IDs for voters. I have to bring my driver’s license and check my name off of a list when I go to the poll. How would Mickey Mouse be able to do the same as he is a fictional character?

Given what is known about the ACORN situation, it does not appear to be a case where they were trying to get fraudulent votes cast. Rather, the workers were trying to get more money for themselves, as they were being paid based on how many completed registration forms they submitted. Yes, it is fraud, and those responsible should be punished. No, it is not an attempt to influence the election.

The interim independent electoral commission extended the period on Wednesday evening citing pleas from voters. The commission says the exercise will now close on Sunday, by which time it hopes to have registered 1.5 million new voters. But as NTVs Peninah Karibe reports, those new numbers will not come cheap.
