I am from Georgia, too. North Fulton County to be exact.
Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on each election day. However, any voter who is waiting in line to vote at 7:00 p.m. will be allowed to vote. Peak voting hours are historically from 7:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m., 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 pm, and during the mid-day lunch hour.
If a poll says your cadidate has only 3% would you still vote for him or consider it a waste?
Forget polls.
The only true polls are the final election.

Your strategy is to read up on the candidates and vote for the candidate that represents your values the best. I am not going to tell you to vote one way or another because that’s not what you asked for. It is your vote, it is your constitutional right to freely pick your leader and you should do so by educating and informing yourself of the important issues and make an educated choice. Most importantly, show up at the voting booth even if the weather is bad; many Americans died so that you may have this right.
